Faqs about Our Tattoo Experience
Read through this section if you have any tattoo-related questions:
Do you have walk in days? There are no scheduled walk-in days…but sometimes because of a cancellation, we will have some extra space. Call the shop to check in.
Do you tattoo people under 18? No we don’t. Waiting for it is half the fun!
How much is my tattoo going to cost? There is a shop-minimum of 200$ and after that it all depends on style, size, detail and placement. For a price quote, you need to get in touch with us.
Do you do piercing? No we don’t. We are exclusively a tattoo shop.
Do you sell gift certificates? Yes we do! And may I say this : it’s an awesome gift idea!
Is there a deposit? There is a 200$ deposit to hold your spot for smaller pieces and a 400$ deposit on larger pieces. You can pay this deposit by coming down to the shop in person, by email transfer at info@hellboundtattoos.ca or by using our handy intake form on this very website. It’s right here This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE .
What about cancellations? You can only do so at least 5 days before your appointment. You must send an email to cancel (No facebook cancellations, no instagram cancellations, no phone messages, NO EXCEPTIONS). Then and only then will your deposit be moved to your next appointment. Otherwise, as stated before, the deposit is non-refundable.
What form of payment do you accept? We accept cash, credit, Apple Pay and debit at the shop.
What about aftercare? After you get tattooed, your bandages should stay on for at least 2 hours. Remove them only right before you have a shower. When you wash your tattoo, use an unscented soap. Have a really long hot shower and then pat it dry with a clean towel. Air it out as much as possible. Avoid contact with clothing if you can. When it starts to get dry and tight, use a tiny bit of unscented moisturizing cream. Avoid direct contact with the sun. Avoid excessive dirt. Avoid swimming for at least 2-3 weeks. For any concern, just call the shop and we will be happy to help you out.
Why are foot/hand/neck tattoos not guaranteed? Skin in those areas exfoliates twice as fast as the rest of your body. Therefore the skin doesn’t hold pigment as well. You can get it touched up, but it will be a paying touchup.
What should I do to prepare for my tattoo? Don’t drink alcohol or take drugs the day before you get tattooed. Avoid taking blood-thinning medication. Get lots of rest the night before. Eat a good meal before you come in. You can also wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to make the experience more pleasant for you. Bring a sugary snack and if you’re getting tattooed for 5 hours or more, bring something to eat to keep you going.
What Our Actual Clients Are Saying
My experience at Hellbound Tattoos was wonderful. What began as an idea and a concept that I held onto for four years came to life after I met with Tiffany and Matt at Hellbound. Firstly, their shop is very welcoming and my first conversation with Matt about my idea over the phone proved to be incredibly helpful. After meeting with Tiffany and having a very real conversation about what my concept was, the reality of my idea and my options, we agreed on a customs piece. I can say whole heartedly that Tiffany epitomizes and defines everything a tattoo artist is. She is real, gives the best advice, does not beat around the bush, she takes an extreme amount of pride and ownership of her tattooing. To me, she defines the word artist. This shop is very very clean and Tiffany is very methodical in how she tattoos. I will not go anywhere else for my tattooing. If you see Tiffany for your tattoo, do yourself a favour and listen to her advice. After all, she is the artist. Thank you Tiffany and Matt! See you again very soon!
